Legal Entity
Citipointe Christian College (‘College’) is a ministry of Christian Outreach Centre, established by Letters Patent under the Religious, Educational and Charitable Institutions Act 1861.
Relationship to the Church
Citipointe Christian College is one of four Colleges within the Christian Outreach Centre Movement (trading as International Network of Churches (INC)). Each College is integral to the mission and vision of the Movement and are ministries of their respective local church for the furtherance of the Christian Faith as outlined in the Constitution and Declaration of Faith of Christian Outreach Centre.
Governance
The National Executive of INC are the Governing Body of the four (4) INC Colleges.
The National Executive through the local church Committee of Management (‘Citipointe Committee of Management’) is responsible for the direction and control of Citipointe Christian College.
The Citipointe Committee of Management delegates with the permission of the National Executive the responsibility for the general management of Citipointe Christian College to the College Board as outlined variously throughout the College Charter.
The College Board is an Advisory Board responsible through the Committee of Management of Citipointe Church to the National Executive.
Reporting to the Governing Body by the College
The College Board reports directly to the Governing Body on specific legislative requirements or indirectly through the Citipointe Committee of Management on other management matters.
Financial Accountability by the College to the Church and the Governing Body
Christian Outreach Centre and each of the four (4) Colleges are the same legal entity (and not related entities or related parties). As such, when a transaction or arrangement is made between a College and another segment of Christian Outreach Centre, the Governing Body and the College Board(s) ensure that the arrangement is made in a similar manner as related entities or related parties in order not to constitute what would be deemed a “prohibited arrangement” as defined in Section 8 (1) (b) and Section 8 (2) of the Education (Accreditation of Non-State Schools) Act 2017.
The audited annual financial accounts of the College, together with a short, written report on the College, are published in the Annual Report of Citipointe Church, and in the consolidated Annual Report of Christian Outreach Centre. A copy of the audited annual financial accounts of the College is publicly available on the ACNC website.
